What makes it change color?
The fabric has a thermochromic finish that reacts to changes in temperature. Rain, snow, cold water and warm hands all shift the surface temperature, so color shows up where they touch and fades back to black as the fabric evens out.
Is it waterproof?
No. It is not rated waterproof. Think of it as a light shell for showers and snow, not a storm jacket.
Will it keep me warm?
Not on its own. It is unlined and not insulated, so in cold weather wear it as the outer layer over a fleece or insulated mid-layer.
How does it fit?
Loose and roomy, unisex. The sizes in the table are measurements of the jacket itself, not body measurements, with a manufacturing tolerance of about 2–3 cm.
Is it safety gear?
No. This is a fashion jacket. It isn't certified protective clothing and it doesn't replace riding gear, lights or reflectors.
When will my order ship?
We process your order within 1–3 business days. Delivery then takes 5–14 business days in the US and 7–18 business days internationally, counted from dispatch.
You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as it ships. Tracking can take a few business days to show its first scan.
For international orders, any import duties or VAT are charged separately by your country's customs — they aren't included in the price you pay us.
Can I return or exchange it?
Yes, but please read this before you buy. We accept returns for items that arrive damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered. We do not accept change-of-mind returns — that includes ordering the wrong size — so check the size table first and compare it with a jacket you already own.
If something is wrong with your order, tell us within 7 days of delivery with your order number, clear photos, and an uninterrupted video that starts with the sealed package and runs through the full unboxing. The video is required — without it we can't tell whether the problem happened in transit, at our facility, or after delivery. Where the claim is approved we cover the return shipping and you choose a replacement or a full refund.
We don't swap items directly: return the original, then place a new order. Returns must be authorised before you send anything back — email support@nightgridracing.com and we'll send the return address once approved.
Customers in the EU and the UK also have a 14-day right of withdrawal from delivery, regardless of the above. Full terms are in our Refund & Return Policy.
